Yoga

My classes can be described as “Yoga for the stiff and sore”, because so many people are either sedentary or quite physical and have become tighter over time.

I’m a certified Yoga teacher, having trained at Hot Yoga in Nelson in 2009. For 10 years previous to that I taught a weekly Yoga class in Collingwood, Golden Bay and then in Richmond. I base my Yoga on my Physiotherapy ( anatomy, body mechanics, injury recovery etc) training.

I now teach several weekly Yoga classes in my home studio each of the 4 school terms as follows:

Summer Holiday 2024 Yoga:

I run a series of 3 classes in January to bridge the gap between Term 4 2023 and Term 1 2024. Those dates are on Monday Jan 8, 15th and 22nd 5.30-6.50pm. Please e-mail jacqwuisinclair@pm.me to book in.

Term 1 2024 classes:

Monday 5.30-6.50pm : 5th February to 25th March: 8 classes $120

The above class will be running for term 1. There are some spaces available for new students. Please e-mail jacquisinclair@pm.me for info.

Thursday 10.00-11.20am: 1st February to 28th March ( includes 2 Friday dates): 9 classes $135

The above class has 6 spaces available . Please e-mail to book or for information.

Private classes:

I currently run private classes for individuals or small groups. These typically run for an hour 15 and cost $120. If you have 4 people, that’s $30 per class each, or 6 people is $20 each. These small classes allow for me to provide you with simple, effective solutions for anyone wanting a take home individual programs

Class price break down:

$15 per class if booked for the whole term and paid upfront as per each class above.

$10 for a second class  per week booked and paid up front ( the smaller number of classes if applicable).

$20 Casual. I sometimes have casual spaces available for NEW people wanting to check out what “Yoga for the Stiff and Sore” is all about!

Please e-mail or text to book a casual class. I will fit you in if there is space!

I limit class size to 14 people. Because of the small numbers, you get more individualized attention from a knowledgeable and practical ex physio than in most Yoga classes which can have from 20-40 people.

Testimonials:

I have really enjoyed my first term of yoga with Jacqui. Her knowledge and experience of the body is incredible. She explains so well why we are doing what stretch and what is connected to that stretch. I really love the smaller classes, which means there is time for her to give you that oneContinue reading “Luci- yoga student”

I am 56 and have M.S. This affects my leg strength, co-ordination and balance. It was hard to exercise without some good soul being there to support me. Jacqui suggested Nordic walking, I am thrilled to be able to walk independently around the vineyard, (rough ground) the beach ( soft sand) and walking paths generallyContinue reading “Anne- nordic walking”

Nordic Walking has revolutionized my walking. I had been a reasonably fast walker before a knee injury had slowed me down and made walking a painful experience. After knee surgery, my knee healed well but I was left with a weak leg, that tired easily. Nordic walking has transformed my walking experience. With Jacqui’s friendlyContinue reading “Ade – nordic walking”
